SM SEA Conference: Renewed Commitment to Missions

The 2024 Simply Mobilizing SouthEast Asia (SEA) Regional Conference in Bali, Indonesia brought together a vibrant gathering of 77 participants from 13 countries—including attendees from the UK, Japan, Korea, Australia, and New Zealand, uniting them under the theme ‘On Mission with God’.

The conference opened with a captivating Balinese dance and included messages from international and regional SM leaders. Through powerful devotions, inspiring messages, and personal testimonies, speakers like Max Chismon emphasized the heart of mission as mobilization, encouraging attendees to focus on the harvesters as much as the harvest itself. Additionally, Ken Chua highlighted the distinction between kingdom advancement and outreach, encouraging participants to live missionally and faithfully. Personal testimonies from Sharlene Tang, Alison Poong, and Pastor Louis Chai powerfully illustrated the life-changing impact of the various courses of SM.

Conference highlights included rich cultural exchanges and specialized workshops that deepened participants’ understanding of mobilization while reinforcing their role in kingdom advancement. The event’s Cultural Night celebrated unity in diversity, as attendees wore national costumes and worshiped together, embodying the region’s spirit of shared mission.

The conference was both a reminder and a challenge: mobilization is not just a strategy but a calling to live out and pass on a missional life. As participants left Bali, they carried forward this renewed commitment, ready to strengthen networks and expand SM’s reach. Inspired by the conference’s closing message, may each one rise to the call, embracing God’s mission with greater passion, unity, and purpose—knowing we are blessed to be a blessing to others.
