New Year’s Message for the Simply Mobilizing Family

2026 is likely to be a predictable year.

Predictable in that first, the darkness will grow darker, and second, the light will grow brighter (Isa 60:1-2). In this ‘now but not yet’ age of Christ’s kingdom, this passage means that we make disciples of all the nations by navigating the increasingly chaotic world in which we live. Jesus’ promise to ‘be with us even to the end of the age’ becomes more meaningful as the end of the age draws ever closer!

This year, 2026, we are excited to introduce Interface, Simply Mobilizing’s ‘outward-in-focus discipleship initiative’ to churches and denominations in the many countries where we have a mobilizing presence.

The significance of this initiative cannot be exaggerated. In this age, and as prophetic mobilizers, we are called to “make ready a people prepared for the Lord” (Lk 1:17). We know that in this age, living a life on mission with God is the calling of every believer – it is the way God fulfills His redemptive agenda among the nations of the world (Mt 28:18-20) and His kingdom agenda of discipling His people (Rev 5:10).

Our mobilization efforts need to focus on the Great Commission to ‘make disciples of all the nations’ (panta ta ethne), in addition to what we are familiar with, namely helping to start this process within unreached nations. If we look back over our shoulders, we will probably notice that the Church in our own nation isn’t really discipled. Very few churches are missional churches – discipling their people to live lives on mission with God.

Only through discipled churches in reached nations can disciples be made in the world’s remaining unreached nations. Interface is our initiative to help achieve this!

Our mentor and friend, the late Dr. Don Richardson, was fond of saying, “We must keep the main thing the main thing – if we don’t, we will find ourselves majoring on minors and minoring on majors.”

As level-one prophetic mobilizers, let’s keep the main thing the main thing in 2026 – and the Lord will be with us as He has promised, making this an amazing and very fruitful year!
