Favour’s Mobilization Journey – How Does God Provide?

In 2018, Favours, a Nigerian believer, found her life transformed through the Kairos course. It awakened something deep within her—a realization of God’s greater purpose. This led her on a path of training, first serving as a Facilitator and eventually becoming a Head Facilitator. Along the way, she faced a significant challenge: many in her community wanted to participate in the course, but lacked the financial means to do so.

Driven by her deep conviction as an intercessor, Favours turned to prayer, seeking God’s direction. During these moments of prayer, a vision began to form in her heart—a vision of offering sponsorships. She felt a burden not just to help others, but also to encourage her children to be a part of the mobilization movement. Although her children initially showed little interest in taking the course themselves, they expressed a desire to help in other ways. That’s when Favours had an idea: she challenged them to contribute financially to sponsor others. They not only agreed to this, but also encouraged some of their friends to contribute in this way. In a short amount of time their contributions allowed them to fully sponsor a class of 12 participants. That was the beginning of something amazing. Since then, Favours and her extended family have raised funds for hundreds of sponsorships. The funds raised since the start of this year has been sufficient to sponsor 60 people.

While the initial focus was on helping people in Favours’ own community, the impact soon spread. Sponsorships extended to other regions of Nigeria, including the northern region, which borders several Unreached People Groups (UPGs).

One particularly inspiring story from 2021 highlights the power of these sponsorships. A married couple, sponsored by Favours and her family, are now serving as cross-cultural missionaries within Nigeria. They are reaching out to a secluded minority group, sharing the gospel with Hausa people and others from Benin.

Favours’ testimony is a powerful reminder of God’s provision. Through the generosity of Nigerians, more and more people are discovering the impact they can make in their own country. Nigeria is blessed with vibrant churches, many located near UPGs. Imagine the ripple effect as more churches become mobilized, recognizing the incredible opportunities they have to be witnesses in their own land.
