Reigniting The Flame Of Mobilization In Solomon Islands

The journey of mobilization in the Solomon Islands began in 2018 with the first Kairos course, where 28 pastors and leaders came together to explore God’s mission. It was a spark that ignited a passion among the participants. By the following year, 14 of them were trained as facilitators, eager to pass on the vision. The plan was simple: to multiply courses, train Head Facilitators, and form a National Team to lead the movement. But then the pandemic hit, and many of our plans were paused.

Yet, this was only a temporary setback in a greater story. In 2024, a team from New Zealand returned, determined to rekindle the flame. With fresh energy, they introduced new tools like Interface and The Unfinished Story to reignite the movement. August saw another Kairos course, where 19 participants were deeply impacted.

One participant shared, “Kairos is such an eye-opening and encouraging course. It broadens our small world and gives us missional eyes.” Another added, “Kairos should be taught at every level of leadership in the Body of Christ. We are called to share the Good News with the Least Reached.”

The fruits of these efforts were undeniable. A cross-denominational missions group emerged, committed to supporting mobilization in Solomon Island through prayer, finances, and member care. Their conviction was clear. As one pastor put it, “The gospel came here over 200 years ago—and then it stopped. That’s not good enough anymore. We have a responsibility to take it further.”

Looking ahead to 2025, the movement is gaining momentum once again, with plans for more courses and facilitator training. The vision for mobilization in the Solomon Islands is alive and well, and the flame continues to grow brighter.
